Becoming a Patron via the California & Northwest Chapters is a wonderful way to support the ongoing conservation and restoration of works in the Vatican Museums - your membership helps to fund restoration and preservation efforts across the collections.

As a Patron, we have a variety of ways to express our sincere gratitude! When you come to visit the Museums in Rome, we would like to welcome you with exceptional access and outstanding hospitality. You will be able to see not only the projects that you have adopted, but will be given an unparalleled experience in Vatican City with behind the scenes access. And when you’re at home, we have a variety of special events and opportunities in California and the Pacific Northwest throughout the year!

Your membership is based on the calendar year, so all 2025 memberships will expire on 12/31/2025.

Note: California & Northwest Chapter Patron and Restorer Family memberships include an immediate household as well as dependent children under 25.

Patrons receive:

  • Exclusive invitations to complimentary members-only events in California and the Northwest regions, including receptions, talks, tours, and museum visits

  • 30% discount at Vatican Museums gift shops

  • Complimentary entrance to and tour of the Vatican Museums with a hand- selected official guide, without waiting in line

  • Ability to view some areas of the Museums closed to the public

  • Tours of the restoration laboratories, the Vatican Gardens, and the Necropolis of Santa Rosa

  • Subscription to the Patrons of the Arts Newsletter from the International Director

  • Commemoration and recognition alongside the restored work of art with Patron’s and/or Chapter’s name (dependent upon type and location of project)

  • Opportunities to join official Patrons’ trips to Italy, with behind-the-scenes access to the Vatican Museums and other sites

  • Referrals to sources to obtain tickets to Papal Audiences and the Scavi excavations beneath St. Peter’s Basilica

Restorers receive:

Restorers receive all benefits of Patron membership (as above), as well as:

  • Special Vatican Museums publications and releases

  • The opportunity to contribute at a higher level to the restoration, conservation, and promotion of the Vatican Collection

Junior Members & Clergy Members receive:

  • All benefits of Patron membership as listed (note: if joining as a couple, both members must be under the age of 35)
