On Sunday, July 28th, members of the California and Northwest Chapters of the Patrons gathered for a delightful afternoon on Mercer Island for the Northwest Chapter’s Annual Summer Social. Generously hosted by John and Lisa Brondello at their beautiful home, the event brought together patrons for an afternoon filled with art, fellowship, and meaningful conversation.
The afternoon began at 2:00 PM with a warm welcome and refreshments, setting the tone for a relaxed and festive day. At 2:30 PM, guests enjoyed a compelling lecture by esteemed art historian Rebecca Albiani, who presented on Marian art in the Vatican Museums. Ms. Albiani—an arts lecturer at the Frye Art Museum since 1997, former Fulbright Scholar in Venice, and former Graduate Lecturing Fellow at the National Gallery—shared thoughtful insights into the artistic and spiritual significance of Marian works in the Vatican collection. Her presentation was followed by a Q&A, where guests engaged in lively discussion.
Following the lecture, guests were treated to heavy hors d'oeuvres and continued drinks from 3:30 to 4:30 PM, allowing ample time for mingling and conversation. The evening concluded with relaxed socializing through 6:00 PM, as members connected with old friends and welcomed new ones into the community.
A heartfelt thank you to John and Lisa Brondello for opening their home, and to everyone who joined us for this memorable gathering. The Annual Summer Social continues to be a cherished tradition for the Northwest Chapter, celebrating the spirit of community and a shared passion for the arts.
