Northwest Chapter Tour of Chapel of St. Ignatius at Seattle University

Northwest Chapter Tour of Chapel of St. Ignatius at Seattle University

The Northwest Chapter is excited to gather in-person once again! We will be taking a tour of the architecturally renowned Chapel of St. Ignatius at Seattle University (901 12th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122). After the tour, we will gather at the Rhein Haus restaurant for drinks and snacks. Mass will be offered at 11:00, and the tour will begin after mass at 12:45.

Designed by architect Steven Holl, the design won Holl a design award from the American Institute of Architects. Holl's design of the chapel was inspired by the theme "A Gathering of Different Lights," therefore, the Chapel of St. Ignatius was designed to reflect different lighting throughout different parts of the day. Furthermore, each "color field" was designed to emphasize a different aspect of Catholic worship. We are so excited to get to tour this beautiful sacred space and hope you can join us.
