A Shadow of Divine Perfection: Art of the Italian Renaissance & Baroque

Explore the sometimes violent, often bizarre, but always fascinating representations of saints and martyrs in Italian art. From St. Sebastian’s arrows, to St. Lucy’s eyeballs, to St. Lawrence’s barbecue grill, we’ll examine the imagery and symbolism surrounding the saints (you’ll even discover some surprising traditional Italian recipes associated with them!).
